NEW YORK CITY — Another victim has been added to the list of deaths caused by Hurricane Sandy, bringing the total number to 44.
A 62-year-old man was found dead April 5 on the Rockaway peninsula, nearly six months after the storm, according to the medical examiner's office.
After an investigation, the medical examiner determined that he drowned during the hurricane, said Ellen Borakove, the director of public affairs.
The victim has not yet been identified.
