Missing Mentally Ill Tourist Found Near Central Park

MIDTOWN — A mentally ill tourist who went missing earlier this week was found in good condition Thursday afternoon, police said.

Ayako Hashimoto, 29, was last seen in front of the Milford Plaza Hotel at 700 Eighth Ave. early Tuesday morning.  Hashimoto doesn't speak English and is schizophrenic.

The Midtown South Detective Squad found Hashimoto on Fifth Avenue at East 63rd Street, along Central Park, at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, police said.
