MORRIS HEIGHTS — Police responding to a call of a "foul odor" coming from a Davidson Avenue home Monday night found a man who appeared to have been dead for days, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

"There was some decomposition of the body," Kelly told reporters Tuesday. "The body was there for at least two days."

Police found the 62-year-old man inside 1821 Davidson Ave., near West 177th Street, about 11:40 p.m. Monday, the NYPD said.

The man died from blunt trauma to his head, Kelly said.

The home showed no signs of forced entry, and investigators have yet to determine if anything was taken, Kelly said.

As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made, cops said.
