HELL'S KITCHEN — A person was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle near the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel on a disaster-filled day for the thoroughfare.

The pedestrian, who was not identified, was walking on 30th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues at 3:11 p.m. when a vehicle struck them, FDNY officials said.

Emergency workers took the pedestrian to the hospital at 3:41 p.m., officials said.

The Lincoln Tunnel was plagued by accidents Monday, after there were three crashes in and around the tunnel. At 7 a.m., two buses crashed into one another, leaving 20 hurt and hundreds of commuters stranded in the tunnel for hours. Later Monday, an eight-vehicle crash happened inside the tunnel, as well as a separate collision between a truck and a car outside the tunnel.

The tunnel had been closed to traffic after Hurricane Sandy until late last week.
