MANHATTAN — The murderer of Yale graduate student Annie Le will serve 44 years in prison under a plea deal he made with prosecutors, according to the New Haven Register.

Raymond Clark III pleaded guilty to murder and attempted sexual assault charges Thursday, the paper reported.

Clark murdered Le and then stuffed her into a wall in a Yale medical school lab.

"We will live out our life knowing that he is behind bars. But we are proud of Ray for taking responsibility for his actions and pleading guilty," Clark's father also named Raymond Clark said, according the the Register.

Le's body was found on Sept. 13 2009, the same day she was supposed to marry Columbia graduate student and Morningside Heights resident Jonathan Widawsky.
