BATTERY PARK CITY — A young woman in Battery Park City stole $14,750 in designer clothing from her friend earlier this month, police said.

The victim, a 26-year-old woman who lives in a luxury Midtown building, left the fancy duds at her friend’s Battery Park City apartment on Dec. 28 and went to police Jan. 24 after she couldn’t get them back, police said.

The alleged thief, who lives at 200 Rector Place in Battery Park City, was supposed to return the clothing and accessories by Jan. 17 but did not do so, police said.

Missing items include a $2,500 Versace purse, a $1,000 Juicy Couture romper and sweatpants, a $1,000 pair of True Religion jeans, a $500 Gucci clutch and $80 black Uggs, police said.
