SOHO — A thief who drilled a hole into a SoHo ATM got away with more than $7,000 earlier this month, police said.
A worker with ATM World was checking on one of the company's cash machines outside 30 Thompson St. about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 when he discovered the cash box containing $7,120 was missing, police said.
The worker found a small hole drilled into the safe. He told police the company had sent him to look at the machine after seeing an error code.
