MANHATTAN — Huguette Clark, a reclusive 104-year-old heiress, gave millions in gifts to her lawyer Wallace Bock, who is being investigated for mishandling her finances, the New York Post reported.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office is investigating Bock and Clark's accountant, Irving Kamsler for allegedly mismanaging Clark's $500 million fortune.

Clark has been in New York hospitals for the past 20 years and has not been seen since she was taken away from her luxury Fifth Avenue apartment by ambulance.

Bock received several lavish gifts from Clark's estate, including $1.5 million used to build a bomb shelter in Israel for a member of Bock's family, the investigation found. Clark also allegedly bought Bock's granddaughter a $10,000 doll house, the paper reported.

Kamsler has had past legal problems of his own and is on probation for attempting to send porn over the Internet to a detective posing as an underage girl, the Post reported.

Bock’s mishandling of Clark’s 42-room, unoccupied Fifth Avenue apartment has also come into question. The apartment is costing the reclusive heiress millions in taxes and maintenance, the Post reported.

The heiress inherited her wealth from her father William A. Clark, who was a U.S. senator from Montana and a copper mining magnate in the 19th century. At one point, Clark was the second-wealthiest man in the country behind the Rockefellers.

Clark also owns a palatial California mansion, and a $24 million estate in Connecticut.

A former paralegal of Bock said she watched the 78-year-old lawyer swindle Clark for years.

“What they’re doing to her is horrible,” Cynthia Garcia told the Post.
