MANHATTAN — Rapper Lil’ Wayne plans on celebrating his freedom from a year-long prison stint at Rikers Island with a new album and a concert on the same day of his release, MTV.com reported.

One of the executives at his record company, Young Money, told MTV that the rapper is reportedly planning to have a concert at Madison Square Garden on the same day he gets out of prison.

His new album, "Tha Carter IV," will be a quick follow-up to a 10-track project that will be released digitally on Sept. 27, the rapper’s birthday.

Wayne has reportedly been deeply involved in the album’s song selection despite his confinement.

"Tha Carter IV plans we had and still have are to put Tha Carter IV out the day he comes out [of prison]," YM President Mack Maine told MTV.

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, is serving a year-long sentence at Rikers Island on weapons charges. He has updated fans through his website and even called into a local radio station during his prison stint.
