MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — A police officer charged with shoving a bicyclist off his wheels and on to the street in Times Square during the monthly Critical Mass bike rides is scheduled to stand trial Monday.

Officer Patrick Pogan was caught on video, then posted to YouTube, apparently targeting cyclist Christopher Long from a stream of other riders and throwing him to the ground in July 2008.

Opening statements in Pogan's trial are scheduled to begin Monday morning.

He faces felony charges for allegedly filing a false report about the incident and is charged with harassing and assaulting Long.
