MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — Lawyers in the "Realtor to the Stars" murder trial are expected to make closing arguments on Monday.

Natavia Lowery, 28, was the personal assistant to Linda Stein, an ex-Ramones manager who went from hanging out with rock stars to selling high-end real estate to the very celebrities she befriended in the entertainment world, and is now charged with her murder.

Lowery had admittedly stolen nearly $30,000 from Stein by abusing her access to her boss's credit card accounts, prosecutors said. On Oct. 30, 2007 she allegedly beat Stein to death with what prosecutors believe was a yoga stretching stick.

Prosecutors said Lowery spent the day of the murder warding off Stein's friends and family to postpone the moment when she her body would be found in her Fifth Avenue penthouse apartment.

Stein's youngest daughter, Mandy, found her mother face down in a pool of blood at about 10 p.m. that evening and made a hysterical 911 call that was played for jurors earlier in trial.

Lowery's defense has argued that their client did not murder Stein. On Friday, they asked the judge to enter a manslaughter charge for the jury to consider, and the judge agreed.

A manslaughter conviction carries a 25 years maximum sentence, whereas Lowery would face life in prison if found guilty on the murder charge.
