MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — Linda Stein's accused killer Natavia Lowery left a cheery voice message for her boss in an attempt to cover up the murder, prosecutors said Tuesday.

"Hey Linda, it's Natavia. I just wanted to let you know that I'm leaving work at 5:30," the message, left at 6:09 p.m., began.

"Hopefully the walk in the park was actually good," she continued in what prosecutors believe was an effort by Lowery to pretend she knew Stein was alive.

The voicemail, along with phone company records, were presented as evidence in Lowery's trial on Monday.

Lowery, Stein's personal assistant, is charged with bludgeoning the "Realtor to the Stars" to death with a yoga stick after Stein confronted her about stealing roughly $30,000.

Surveillance video shows Lowery was the only person in and out of Stein's apartment on Oct. 30, 2007, the day Stein was found dead.

"I left everything upstairs at the door and Seymour called. He said just call him back because he has a question to ask you," the voice message continued.

The trial is scheduled to resume on Thursday.
