MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — The day celebrity realtor Linda Stein was bludgeoned to death in her Fifth Avenue apartment, her personal assistant and accused killer was caught on a security video leaving Stein's building carrying a bag that contained the murder weapon, prosecutors charge.

The lobby video obtained by DNAinfo briefly shows the face of a woman, who appears to be the personal assistant, Natavia Lowery.

Lowery is seen rummaging through a green handbag that prosecutors say belonged to Stein. She also had a red shopping bag that prosecutors say contained the yoga stick Lowery used to beat Stein to death.

The assistant was the only person to enter Stein's apartment on the day she was killed, prosecutors say. On the video, Lowery is seen coming and going from the posh pad carrying cell phones and a manila envelope.

Lowery allegedly stole $30,000 from from Stein, 62, and that same day Lowery called American Express to pay off two credit card bills, according to the district attorney.

Defense attorneys maintain Lowery's innocence, and hinted that the real killer could have entered apartment 18C from another point in the tightly-secured building.

The building's superintendent testified Tuesday that entering without being noticed and announced at 965 Fifth Ave. is not possible.

Lowery's trial started Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court. The jury is expected to hear testimony for more than a month.
