MANHATTAN — A Bronx man was busted Monday for robbing four stores at gunpoint this month in the East Village and West Village, police said Thursday.

Jed Cappelli, 33, was being held in Bellevue Hospital Prison Ward on felony robbery and weapons charges, records show. He is being held on $250,000 bail or bond.

During each early morning robbery, the suspect displayed a gun and demanded cash, although it wasn't immediately clear how much he made off with, sources said.

Cappelli allegedly hit his first target, Charles Gourmet, at 140 Charles St., near Washington Street, on Oct. 3 at 1:15 a.m.

Ten days later, he struck Cho's Grocery at 37 Bedford St., near Carmine Street, just before 5 a.m.

Then on Oct. 20, Cappelli is accused of robbing Le Basket, at 683 Broadway, near West 3rd Street.

And on Oct. 24, he allegedly ripped off Angelina Cafe at 36 Avenue A, near East 3rd Street.

The NYPD announced Oct. 13 it was seeking a 25- to 40-year-old man who robbed five Village and Murray Hill grocery stores, spas and other businesses.

The robberies at Charles Gourmet and Cho's Grocery in the West Village, for which Cappelli has been charged, were part of that pattern.

But Cappelli has not been linked to the three additional armed robberies in the pattern — at 272 Bleecker St. in the West Village, 131 Second Ave. in the East Village and 259 Lexington Ave. in Murray Hill, police said.
