MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — A student accused of slashing the throat of a Muslim cab driver made disturbing and sexist statements to police at the time of his arrest, court papers unsealed Wednesday revealed.

Michael Enright, 21, a self-proclaimed "patriot" insisted during his Aug. 24 arrest that his brutal attack on the driver, Ahmed H. Sharif, was an act of self-defense and berated a female police officer who had him in custody at the time.

"What ya gonna do? Beat me up?" Enright challenged the officer, according to court papers.

"You are a stupid broad. You allow them to blow up buildings in this country," the Manhattan film student continued.

Enright also told officers he was Jewish and that "you are going to ruin the entire Jewish race by locking me up."

"I drank a pint of scotch starting at 2:00," Enright added.

The School of Visual Arts senior of Brewster, N.Y., spent months in Afghanistan working on a thesis about American troops before his apparent hate crime.

Enright pleaded "not guilty" to attempted murder and assault hate crime charges in Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday.

He faces a minimum of eight years in prison if convicted.
