MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — One of the teens arrested in the Easter Sunday brawl in Times Square pleaded guilty to resisting arrest Tuesday after authorities determined he was not responsible for injuring a police officer as originally thought.
Leroy-Jama Wigfall, 19, was released on time served after an investigation revealed that a different teen, Jermaine Parker, 19, not Wigfall, was involved in the alleged altercation with police.
The DA’s office recommended nine months of jail time, but Wigfall only served about 21 days before his release.
Parker pleaded not guilty to charges that he assaulted a police officer during the raucous Easter melee that left four people shot and led to 33 arrests.
