MANHATTAN — No one can escape jury duty, not even downtown nightclub fixtures such as Amanda Lepore.

Lepore, a transgendered performance artist and legendary figure among Manhattan's club-goers and couture klatch, was photographed by DNAinfo coming back after lunch to a Manhattan civil court building at 111 Centre St.

An aide said Lepore was at the courthouse for jury duty.

She's also known as a muse for photographer Dave LaChapelle, who's also taken famous photos of Lady Gaga, Alexander McQueen and Andre 3000.

Lepore has also released several albums and has upcoming tour dates in Las Vegas, Milwaukee and Ibiza, Spain, according to her MySpace page.

On her Facebook page, Lepore refers to herself, in French, as a transexual icon, a mannequin and a "chanteuse," originally from New Jersey.
