MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — A fashion designer and convicted California serial rapist was brought to Manhattan to face additional rape and sexual abuse charges on Friday.

Anand Jon Alexander, 37, has appeared on America's Next Top Model and reportedly designed clothes for celebrities like Paris Hilton and Janet Jackson before being convicted in August of raping 13 women in California.

In two separate indictments, Alexander was charged with rape, sexual abuse and assault charges of teenage women and aspiring models.

Alexander, who was sentenced to 59 years to life in California, was arraigned Friday in Manhattan Supreme Court — wearing a plain white t-shirt and loose khaki pants — and faces up to life in prison if convicted of the top rape charge.

At his Los Angeles sentencing, his victims shared their tearful, tormenting experiences, according to published reports.

"I was 14. You took my adolescence, my trust, my dream and completely manipulated them for your sexual desires," one of the women said, the Associated Press reported.
