Under a new proposed zoning plan, P.S. 191 would serve pre-K-2 and P.S. 342 would serve grades 3-8.

Parents worry the charter's expansion could hurt P.S. 242's, which earned international recognition.

The charter network is planning to open new schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx.
