BROOKLYN — A man broke into a woman's Bushwick apartment as she slept and raped her, NYPD officials said Tuesday.
The man entered the 24-year-old woman's apartment near Halsey Street and Central Avenue through an unlocked front door Saturday around 10:35 a.m. Saturday, police sources said.
He raped her until she managed to push him off, police said.
He then fled and hadn't been arrested as of Wednesday, police said.
Investigators are looking into whether the victim knew her attacker, sources said.
He’s about 5-foot-10, 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans, according to police.
