BOERUM HILL — A man was fatally stabbed and shot outside a Dunkin' Donuts near the Barclays Center on Wednesday night, police said.

The 47-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was stabbed once in the chest and repeatedly shot in the upper torso about 8:20 p.m. on Fourth Avenue at Atlantic Avenue, NYPD officials said.

"I was inside and heard four shots. People were running really fast. I was scared," said Ali Abdul, 25, who works at a nearby grocery store.

Abdul walked out of the store to see the man lying face-up on the sidewalk.

"There was a lot of blood. It was coming from his mouth and nose," Abdul said.

"The police came quickly. They were pushing on his chest three or four times, but I didn't see him responding," the grocer added.

He was pronounced dead at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the shooting.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.

By Thursday morning, commuters walked over the pool of dried blood and a knot of police tape on their way to work.
