BROOKLYN — A 13-year-old subway surfer was seriously injured when he crashed into a sign at the end of a station platform Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The boy, whose name wasn't immediately released, grabbed onto the outside of a southbound F train at the Neptune Avenue station, near West Sixth Street, and managed to ride the length of the platform before striking the "Do Not Enter" sign at 5 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.
He was taken to Maimonides Hospital in stable condition and treated for cuts to his head, a bruise to his stomach and other injuries, police said.
Two of the boy's friends were also in the train at the time, police said.
There were no immediate charges, and police said they're still investigating.
