MIDTOWN EAST — A woman stole $50,000 worth of jewelry and electronics, including a Rolex watch and a wedding ring, from a man who brought her home after meeting her just an hour earlier, police said.

The 37-year-old victim told police that on Wednesday, July 19, he met the woman near 51st Street and Beekman Place around 11:30 p.m. They went back to his place, and the woman left an hour later, police said.

After she had gone, the man realized that his Rolex watch, his wedding ring and his cellphone, worth a combined $50,000, were missing.

Police described the suspect as standing 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5 and last seen wearing dark pants, a tank top and a black jacket. Surveillance images show the woman walking with a large purse on her shoulder.

The nature of their relationship wasn't immediately clear, but thieves have been known to target wealthy men in clubs to steal their Rolex watches

Earlier this month, a woman met a man at the West 17th nightclub 1Oak and ran off with his $12,000 Rolex, a $30,000 Gérald Genta watch, his credit card and $2,500 in cash.

On June 4, police released surveillance footage of a woman accused of stealing $70,000 worth of jewelry from a man — including a Rolex watch — after previously meeting him at 1Oak.

Anyone with information in regards to this particular incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
