Burglar Steals Two Guitars and a Bass from Corona Church, Police Say

CORONA — A thief broke into a Baptist church and stole thousands of dollars in musical instruments, police said.

The suspect used an unknown object to unlock a side door of Canaan Baptist Church, at 35-24 108th St. in Corona, at around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Surveillance video captures the subject taking two electric guitars and a bass from the church and then fleeing. The instruments are worth approximately $2,300, according to police. 

Once inside, the individual can be seen on video surveillance removing approximately $2,300 worth of musical instruments. The individual then fled the location in an unknown direction.

The suspect was last seen wearing a yellow jacket and jeans, and appears approximately 30 to 40 years old.
