FRESH MEADOWS — An off-duty Department of Correction officer was arrested after he flashed his gun during an argument over his driving, police and sources said.

Steven Kissoon, 29, was driving near 186th Lane and 180th Street in Fresh Meadows on Sunday night when he got into an argument with another man, police said.

He then displayed a black handgun, which caused the victim to fear for his life, according to the police report.

It's not clear if the victim was in the car with Kissoon, or in another car. Kissoon is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Queens Criminal Court.

“The vast majority of our hardworking officers carry out their duties with care, integrity, and the highest levels of professionalism. Any illegal behavior by a staff member would be unacceptable," Department of Correction spokesman Peter Thorne said in an emailed statement.

Kissoon has been working for DOC for just over a year, a source said.
