QUEENS — Popular Italian restaurant Tuscan Hills is moving to a "more central" location in Forest Hills, replacing its sister eatery Ovo Sodo, the owners said.

Tuscan Hills, known for its classic Northern Italian cuisine, opened nearly a decade ago at 115-20 Queens Blvd., near the Kew Gardens border.

But next week, it will reopen about seven blocks west, at 110-60 Queens Blvd., where Italian bistro Ovo Sodo is currently located, the owners said.

Marco del Peschio and Roberto Lamorte, who own both eateries, said they decided to consolidate them to avoid the rising costs of running two restaurants.

“Our lease [at Tuscany Hills] is about to expire next year, the minimum wage is going up and the fact that the restaurants were very close to each other became kind of a problem because I was competing with myself,” said Del Peschio.

He also said that the Ovo Sodo location, between Ascan Avenue and 73rd Road, and near the 75th Avenue subway station, is closer to the center of Forest Hills and therefore easier to access for many local residents than the current location.

The restaurant at its new location will keep the Tuscan Hills name as well as its menu, Del Peschio said.

But there will also be several items from Ovo Sodo, which opened in 2014, including its grandma-style pizza pies, panini and the entire brunch menu.

Tuscan Hills will close its doors at its current location on Sunday. It will reopen at 110-60 Queens Blvd. sometime next week, the owners said.
