CROWN HEIGHTS — Sex crimes investigators are baffled by the case of a man who tried to rape four women within four hours in Crown Heights earlier this month, the department said Monday.

No one has been arrested in the July 12 and 13 attacks and a suspect has yet to be identified.

The NYPD released a third video of the suspect to the public, asking for help to identify the man who followed four women into their buildings, then sexually assaulted them before they fought him off.

The suspect is seen in surveillance footage taken at 2:43 a.m. — in between the third and fourth attacks, according to police — walking down a sidewalk shirtless, carrying a baseball cap and spinning what appears to be a black T-shirt outside Wholesome Foods Market on Nostrand Avenue.

In previous images and videos of the suspect, the man wanted by police is pictured wearing a shirt reading “F--k you, you f--king f--k," light blue jeans, a black baseball cap and white sneakers.

The man is wanted for four separate assaults, committed over four hours within blocks of each other in Crown Heights.

The first took place inside the victim’s apartment building at Nostrand Avenue and Pacific Street at 11:45 p.m. on July 12 when the suspect followed a 22-year-old woman to her door, then put his hand over her mouth, pressed her against a wall, told her he wanted to have sex and touched her genitals. She screamed and fought him off and fled on foot, police said.

Just over an hour later, at 1 a.m. on July 13, the man went after a 29-year-old woman inside a building at St. Marks and New York avenues. Police said he followed the woman and pushed her inside her apartment as she opened the door, then put his hands over her mouth and grabbed her. She fought him off and he fled the apartment.

At 2 a.m., the suspect followed a 22-year-old woman to her apartment inside a building near Albany Avenue and Sterling Place and pushed her inside when she opened the door, police said. He then covered her mouth with his hand, dragged her to the floor, touched her genitals and told her he had a knife and would kill her if she wasn’t quiet.

The woman kneed the suspect in the groin, police said, and he fled the apartment.

The fourth attempted assault took place at 3:36 a.m. when the suspect followed a 32-year-old woman into an elevator inside a building at Pacific Street and Nostrand Avenue, police said. As she left the elevator when it arrived at her floor, the man put his hand over her mouth and tried to drag her to the ground. The woman screamed, then punched and kicked the man, who let her go and fled the building, police said.

As of Monday morning, the NYPD has not yet made an arrest in the case and is still seeking information on the suspect.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, (888) 57-PISTA (74782).
