CORONA — A man was shot in the head, and another man was shot in his cheek Wednesday night, police said.

The victims were both wounded at around 10:30 p.m. at 94th Street and 45th Avenue, on a footbridge over Long Island Rail Road tracks that connects to 44th Avenue, according to police.

A person who was with the victims ran to the nearby 110th Precinct after the shooting, officials said.

The 21-year-old victim shot in the head was treated at Elmhurst Hospital.

The 24-year-old victim shot in the cheek and was released, police said.

Both victims are expected to survive, officials said.

Police are still investigating a motive for the shooting.
