MIDTOWN — A man was slashed in the face by a stranger who got upset because he and his friend were being too loud, the NYPD said.

The 25-year-old victim told police that he and a friend were walking near West 41st Street and Seventh Avenue around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday when a man they didn’t know yelled at them for being too noisy and asked them to quiet down.

Soon after, the assailant slashed the right side of the victim’s face with a sharp object before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment after approaching a police officer at West 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue to report the attack, the NYPD said.

No one had been arrested in connection with the incident as of Monday, the NYPD said.
