ELMHURST — A Brooklyn father angry that Elmhurst Hospital would not release his sick baby promised to "shoot, kill and blow up the place" in an attack similar to the deadly rampage at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, police and sources said.

"You know what happened at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital," Jamar Clairborne, 34, told the hospital employee who answered the phone July 14, police sources said. "I'm going to do the same thing here."

The child was was brought to the hospital by the baby's mother, who also became angry when she couldn't leave with the child, police sources said.

Staff told the angry mom that the child required further care, the sources said. 

The enraged father called up the hospital, identified himself and said they "can't treat people like this."

"I'm going to shoot, kill and blow up the place," he warned, threatening an attack similar to the deadly rampage by a disgruntled former employee of the Bronx hospital. 

Claiborne was arrested Friday and charged with making terroristic threats, aggravated harassment and harassment, police said. 

He was arraigned Saturday in Queens Criminal Court and he is being held at Rikers Island, records show. He's due back in court on July 28.
