FLATBUSH — A Clinton Hill man was fatally gunned down Tuesday after a fight broke out in front of a Flatbush apartment building, police said.

Justin Hackley, 20, was shot outside 533 Ocean Ave. near Church Avenue at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He was shot after an argument with the gunman, the NYPD said, and was hit in the chest, neck and head.

Hackley — a business administration student on break for summer from Delaware State University, according to a first report by the New York Daily News — was taken to Kings County Hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.

A 24-year-old man was taken into custody from the scene and a gun was recovered from the location, the police department said. However, no one has been arrested or charged in the shooting as of Wednesday afternoon and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Hackley’s death is the fourth homicide in the 70th Precinct so far this year, according to NYPD data. In the same period in 2016, the precinct saw only one homicide, data shows.

Overall, major crimes are down 7 percent in the precinct through July 2, the most recent date for which crime statistics are available.
