JAMAICA HILLS — An armed robber who broke into a St. John's University dorm and shot at a wall was sentenced to five years in prison, according to the district attorney's office.

Mustafa Godbolt, 22, of North Babylon, Long Island, and two other defendants — Anthony Gusthas and Tyrell Sutton — entered campus residence Hollis Hall in broad daylight May 11, 2016, officials said.

Gusthas, a former student, knocked on the door of a student's room on the fifth floor, according to the DA. The student recognized him through the peep hole and opened the door, which is when all three men forced their way inside, according to the charges.

Sutton then pulled out a knife as Godbolt demanded to know where the money was.

When the student said there was no money there, Godbolt pulled out a black revolver which went off, but did not hit anyone, according to the criminal charges.

All three fled campus but were arrested along the Grand Central Parkway, a few blocks from campus, the DA said.

Godbolt plead guilty to second degree burglary and was sentenced Wednesday in Queens Criminal Court.

The two other defendants both plead guilty to second degree attempted murder and are due back in court on Aug. 3 for sentencing, according to the DA's office.
