MANHATTAN— Amazon’s third brick-and-mortar location may soon claim a downtown storefront.
The possible location at 72 Spring St. features more than 7,000 square feet of space, with 5,000 of that dedicated to retail, according to a report by The Real Deal.
The owner of the building couldn't immediately be reached for comment. The brokerage dealing with the commercial space, RKF, would not disclose any information at this time.
The online retail behemoth opened its first location on the third floor of the Time Warner Center in May, and offers 3,000 titles based on data gathered from online customers and reviews.
The second Manhattan location at 7 W. 34th St. is nearing the end of its construction.
The physical store still has ties into the company’s digital interface, with prices only accessible via the Amazon app and cashless check out.
CORRECTION: This story was updated to note that Amazon's second location is under construction at Herald Square.
