MANHATTAN — Police charged a serial robber and registered sex offender with covering women’s faces with a white cloth before mugging them at knifepoint, according to the NYPD.

Kevin Williams, 34, whose home address was listed as the Manhattan Psychiatric Center at 600 E. 125 St., was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of robbery for attacking two women on June 13 and 17 at the Spring Street subway station in SoHo, police said.

Neither woman was injured, according to police.

Williams is a registered sex offender who used a knife when he sexually assaulted a stranger in 2000, according to state records.

He was also arrested for robbery in 2011 and 2000, as well as for attempted robbery in 2000, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police did not have any information about any history of mental illness with Williams, the spokesman added.

The psychiatric center is run by the New York State Office of Mental Health.

A spokesman for the agency did not return an immediate request for comment.
