BROOKLYN — A person was killed after jumping between train cars in Crown Heights Wednesday afternoon, disrupting service on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 lines, according to NYPD officials and sources.

The person, who was believed to be a man, was on an express train at Franklin Avenue when they fell beneath the subway at about 4:30 p.m. and got dragged to Nostrand Avenue, NYPD and MTA spokesmen said. Power was cut on the line between the stations while responders tried to get to the victim.

The victim was believed to be a 37-year-old man who committed suicide, an NYPD spokesman said, but police were still trying to definitively identify the person who was badly disfigured.

Service on the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 trains had resumed with delays by 5:23 p.m., the MTA said.

Riders can check the MTA’s website for updates.
