BROOKLYN — A man was found fatally stabbed in the chest in a car in Crown Heights Saturday afternoon, police said.
Amir Mercado, 24, was found injured in a red Nissan Altima outside 1748 Sterling Place, near Howard Avenue, about 3 p.m., NYPD officials said.
Mercado, who lived nearby on Sterling Place, was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital, police said.
It wasn't immediately clear why Mercado was fatally stabbed, but investigators believe it may be drug related, sources said.
Investigators released footage a man they wanted to question for the homicide Sunday.
He's in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches and was last seen in a hoodie and sweatpants, police said.
