PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Former NBA point guard and Coney Island basketball phenom Sebastian Telfair was arrested early Sunday on weapons charges after police found four loaded guns and a bulletproof vest in his car during a traffic stop, the NYPD said.

Telfair, 32, and Jami Thomas, 18, were nabbed after police pulled over their 2017 Ford F-150 on Atlantic Avenue near Classon Street around 2:50 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The car had been parked on a median and tried to drive off without its headlights on. When the officers stopped the car, they spotted a blunt on the dashboard, the NYPD said.

Inside the car, officers found three handguns, a semi-automatic rifle, a bulletproof vest and ammo, according to police.

Telfair and Thomas were arrested on a slew of charges including unlawful possession of a ballistic vest and unlawful possession of ammunition magazines, the NYPD said.

They were awaiting arraignment Monday morning.

Telfair, who starred at Lincoln High School, was once one of the most coveted high school prospects in the country. He opted to skip college and enter the NBA draft straight out of high school in 2004.

He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers and played 10 seasons in the league before opting to continue his professional career in China.
