THE BRONX — A man was slashed in the face with a box cutter in Longwood during a fight with a suspect who stopped by a bodega to pick up a couple of 40 oz. beers, police said.

The the victim, 23, clashed with the suspect outside 870 Prospect Ave., near Westchester Avenue, about 4:45 a.m. on May 13, NYPD officials said.

The suspect cut the left side of the victim's face and the back of his head, police said.

He was treated at Lincoln Medical Center, where he's listed in stable condition, police said.

The suspect can be seen buying two 40 oz. Budweisers at a bodega in surveillance footage released by police on Monday, the NYPD said.

The suspect was described as between 25 and 35 years old, standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing about 245 pounds, police said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweater, a green plaid shirt and tan pants, police said.
