By Katie Honan | May 7, 2017 10:35pm

EAST ELMHURST — An off-duty NYPD officer was stabbed in the arm, and another man was slashed in the shoulder, after an 18-year-old man tried to crash a party for the officer's daughter, police said.

The suspect, Diego Velasco, 18, entered the home at 30th Avenue and 94th Street at 9:30 p.m. on May 6, where there was reportedly a First Holy Communion party for the police officer's daughter.

Police said Velasco entered the home without invitation or permission and got into an argument with the 43-year-old off-duty police officer, who tried to kick him out.

He stabbed the officer in the left arm and also slashed a 59-year-old man in the shoulder, and then fled, police said.

The victims were taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital, and are in stable condition, officials said.

Velasco was later arrested and arraigned May 7 in Queens Criminal Court where he was charged with burglary for entering the house, two assault charges, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, records show.
