HELL’S KITCHEN — Cuban sandwiches, two types of paella and lobster guacamole are on the menu at a new fusion restaurant heading to the neighborhood.

Tumbao will serve a medley of Cuban and Latin cuisines when it opens Friday at 683 Ninth Ave., at the corner of West 47th Street, owner Ciro Colantonio said.

The restaurateur also owns the nearby Brazil Grill, Sombrero and Patron Mexican Grill, he said.

A menu on the restaurant’s website includes appetizers such as an empanada trio, lobster guacamole and Mexican street corn, with prices ranging from $7 to $12. Entrees include classic and quinoa paella, a “Tumbao Cuban sandwich” with slow roasted pork, mango glazed salmon and shrimp mofongo.

The eatery will also serve drinks like margaritas and mojitos, and Colantonio also plans to display an assortment of Cuban cigars at the front of the eatery.

“I love fusion [food]. I love a mish-mash,” he explained. “That’s what this neighborhood needs.”
