RED HOOK — Two bodega workers were wounded — one seriously — when an enraged customer opened fire inside a Hicks Street deli Tuesday morning, police said.

A 33-year-old worker was shot in the back, and his 52-year-old co-worker was wounded in the torso when the gunman opened fire inside Famous Deli & Grocery, near Mill Street, about 8:40 a.m., the NYPD said.

The workers had been trying to escort the man out of the store when he whipped out the weapon, but it was unclear what the dispute was about, according to police.

The 33-year-old was taken to Lutheran Hospital in serious condition. The other man was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The suspected gunman, 41, was arrested nearby, and a weapon was recovered, the NYPD said.
