Police Looking For Woman Behind Sunday Robbery in Forest Hills

By Ewa Kern-Jedrychowska | April 17, 2017 8:01am

QUEENS — Police are looking for a woman responsible for a robbery in Forest Hills on Sunday.

The suspect attacked a 73-year-old woman at 3:45 p.m. at 102-30 67th Ave., between 102nd Street and Yellowstone Boulevard, snatched her purse and fled on foot, authorities said.

The victim fell but details on her injuries were not immediately available.

Police officials described the suspect as a woman wearing a gray hoodie and sweatpants.

Earlier this month, a 70-year-old woman was knocked to the ground and robbed only one block away from where the Sunday incident took place. Police said at the time, they were not sure whether the robber in that case was a man or woman.

Authorities said those incidents were not part of a recent pattern in which a serial robber brutally attacked three women in Forest Hills and Rego Park since January.
