The man first approached an 18-year-old woman on 37th Avenue near 86th Street at about 12:50 p.m. and slapped her on the face, according to the NYPD.

He then walked off, and the woman refused medical attention at the scene.

The elderly man suffered bruises and a small laceration to his face. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

The puncher fled west on 37th Avenue toward 83rd Street. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white checkered shirt and dark pants.
