ELMHURST — A man with a long rap sheet was busted with 2 pounds of marijuana in his trunk after he was pulled over for failing to use a signal while turning, police said.

Jonathan Rodriguez, 32, was at the corner of 85th Street and 57th Avenue in Elmhurst at around 7 p.m. on Thursday when police officers saw him make a left turn without using a signal, according to the NYPD.

When they approached his 2011 Nissan Maxima they noticed he also wasn't wearing a seat belt — and observed small baggies of marijuana in the back seat, police said.

Rodriguez told officers he had more in the trunk, where officers found two large bags and a medium-sized bag of approximately 2 pounds of marijuana, according to police.

He was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and two driving violations, and is awaiting arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.

Rodriguez has been arrested nearly 20 times, including 10 sealed arrests and six for criminal possession of marijuana, with his most recent arrest in December, police said.
