Teen Punched in the Face in Robbery Attempt at East Elmhurst McDonald's

EAST ELMHURST — A 16-year-old boy was punched in the face during an attempted robbery outside of a McDonald's, police said.

The teen was standing in front of the fast-food restaurant at 88-05 Astoria Blvd. at about 2:20 a.m. on March 19 when the suspect approached him, police said.

The man punched the victim in the face and tried to take items out of his pocket, but fled without any.

The teen had minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital, according to police. 

The suspect is approximately 25 to 27 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and brown boots.
