BROOKLYN — A 15-year-old girl was attacked and robbed following melees involving about 800 teens in Brooklyn Bridge Park Tuesday, according to the NYPD.

Fights between hundreds of teenagers broke out in the park between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., a police spokeswoman said. The crowd was eventually dispersed without any arrests being made.

The girl was leaving the park when a group of teens punched and kicked her, the spokeswoman added. She fell to the ground and the teens stole her phone and MetroCard.

The 15-year-old was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

At least one other person was also robbed following the fights.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.

The girl's mother told WNBC that she hoped witnesses would provide tips to the police

"To see these girls soccer-kicking my daughter in the face like she was an animal on the floor, I don't wish no parent to see that," Genae Simpson said to the station.
