Celebrate National Grilled Cheese Day with the very best.

Food ordering service UberEATS crunched the numbers ahead of National Grilled Cheese Day Wednesday to sniff out which gooey sandwiches ranked highest among its city-dwelling users.

The Cheese Grille in the Lower East Side came out on top, with its Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese ranked at number one in the platform's list of top 10 most popular grilled cheese orders across the boroughs, meaning it has received the most orders on the company's food delivery platform.

The sandwich, stuffed with cheddar, breaded chicken, pickled jalapenos, bleu cheese dressing and Frank's Red Hot sauce on Levain Pullman bread, also ranked eighth nationally, according to UberEATS.

The owner of the eatery at 188 Allen St. wasn't surprised to learn the sandwich topped the list — it is one of the shop's most popular, he said.

The shop is currently prepping for National Grilled Cheese Day, when free classic sandwiches —cheddar on Levain Pullman — will be handed out between 2pm and 8pm, he said.

"We've got already four thousand grilled cheeses prepped for tomorrow," said Emik, who would not share his last name. If last year is anything to go by, grilled cheese fans should anticipate a massive line, he said.

"Last year we had a crazy line," he said. "We did it all day and it was overwhelming, so this year we're just doing 2 to 8 pm."

Here are the 10 most popular grilled cheese orders in New York City according to the data:

► Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese from the Cheese Grille, Lower East Side

► Grilled Cheese from Black Burger, Tribeca

► Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup from Creamline, Chelsea

► Grilled Cheese Sandwich with toppings from Burger Urway, Crown Heights

► Half Grilled Cheese with Creamy Tomato Soup from Sweethaus, Williamsburg

► Grilled Cheese from BEC, Chelsea

► Grilled Cheese from Westville East, East Village

► Grilled Cheese from Blank Slate, Flatiron

► Classic Grilled Cheese from Little Muenster, Battery Park

Grilled Cheese Sandwich from The Brooklyn Tree, Williamsburg

The UberEATS team also scoured the data to find which neighborhoods order the most grilled cheese overall — the East Village and the West Village are the most "Grilled Cheese-Loving," according to the company.
