HUNTS POINT — That's cold.

A trio of burglars stole an ice cream freezer from a food distributor in the South Bronx, police said.

The thieves forced open the gate of A1 Food Distributor at 1101 Burnet Pl. on March 30 around 11 a.m., drove a white van into the parking lot and loaded the freezer into the car before fleeing down Garrison Avenue, according to the NYPD.

Video shows one of the suspects opening the front passenger side door of the van.

Officers described the suspects as three men, one of whom has a goatee and was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black vest, a black hooded sweater, blue-and-white sneakers and light pants. Another of the suspects was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray jacket.

The van was described as a 2008 Ford Econoline 2 with the license plate HES 7478, police said.

Nick Madio, owner of A1 Food Distributor, said the police were being very aggressive in trying to solve the crime but declined to comment further on the burglary.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
