BROOKLYN — Call it a gator raid.

NYPD officers serving a search warrant Wednesday on a Flatbush drug den were confronted by a feisty caiman, guarding its owner's home, police said.

Emergency Service Unit and 78th Precinct Field Intelligence officers executed a search warrant for Habakkuk Tracey, 41, of his home at 21 E. 21st St., near Woodruff Avenue, when they found crack and a loaded .380 semi-automatic gun, police said.

One of the officers snapped a photo of the tiny reptile, which Tracey illegally stored in a tank in his living room, police said.

Tracey was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a loaded gun and having a wild animal that's prohibited by the health code, police said.

Police handed the reptile over to Animal Care and Control who didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Police were looking for Tracey because he was suspected of selling drugs out of his home, they said.

He's been arrested more than 30 times since 1994, most recently in January 2014 for drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.
