EAST ELMHURST — The mother of the 1-year-old fatally run over by a driver while walking home last week is looking for help to pay for her only child's funeral.

Mom Frederique Rowe was crossing 94th Street and 23rd Avenue with her daughter Skylar Reid when a man behind the wheel of Ford truck turned onto the avenue and drove into Skylar's stroller, killing her.

The driver, Wallace Ramirez, was arrested and charged with failure to yield and failure to use due care, police said.

Rowe and her daughter lived just a block from the crash scene at The Landing homeless shelter, and she's now hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover the cost of her baby's funeral.

"My daughter was struck and killed by a car while we were on our way to our home I'm starting this campaign because I need the help of everyone right now to rest my daughter," she wrote on the GoFundMe page, which was set up by a friend, Natasha Doll.

"Anything you can donate will be highly appreciated thank you."

More than 300 donors had given more than $10,000 of the campaign's $15,000 goal as of Tuesday.

The heartbroken mom told the Daily News the driver didn't see her or the stroller, and that she rushed to save her baby but couldn't.

Rowe was walking back from a store when the crash occurred, and her bag of groceries could be seen at the scene after the baby was struck.

“I just wanted to get her something to eat,” she told the paper. “That’s it! Something to eat.”

Ramirez was arraigned Friday in Queens Criminal Court.
